Keep a private recovery preparation record

A minimal record to organize your own recovery attempt without storing passwords or sending a private dossier to a guide.

Record the account context, not secrets

Note the account identifier in your private record, which familiar devices remain available, and whether you control the recovery contacts. Do not copy passwords or verification codes into a shared checklist.

Separate the observation from the interpretation

Keep the exact sign-in message and when you saw it. Distinguish a recovery hold, failed ownership check and disablement; these lead to different routes.

Record the official next action

Note the official guidance used and what Google asks you to do next. The record is for your organization, not additional ownership proof submitted to AccountsAid.

Keep only what is needed

Store the note on a device you control. Remove irrelevant screenshots and never upload a full personal archive to demonstrate that you need help.
